Lineus longissimus (Gunnerus, 1770)

Length up to 50 m, width up to 10 mm. Colour dark reddish brown or black, can be somewhat iridescent or wear stripes. Head with white lateral margins bearing a row of 10–20 eyes (often obscured by the dark pigmentation of the body). Common occurrence at different depths and bottoms in Norway.
