Grubianella klugei can be up to 25 mm long. It can be found in the Norwegian Sea and around Svalbard at depths between 600 and 2000 meters.

Measurements: Up to 25 mm long.
Number of thoracic chaetigers, excluding paleae: 14
Number of thoracic uncinigers: 11
Number of abdominal uncinigers: 19–22.
Prostomium: Trilobed, middle lobe drawn out into horns; eyespots absent.
Mouth tentacles: Smooth.
Branchiae: Four pairs of branchia in two widely separated groups; within each group, two foremost branchiae in transverse row, two following branchiae in longitudinal row.
Paleae: Small with filiform tips.
Special features: All abdominal segments with rudimental notopodia.
Pygidium: With one pair of long lateral cirri and several small papillae.
Tube: Covered with mud and few foraminiferans.
Distribution
Norwegian Sea, Svalbard; 600–2000 m.
Similar species
The presence of prostomial horns, paleae and a long abdomen (19–22 uncinigers) makes it unlikely to confuse adult complete specimens of Grubianella klugei with any other Ampharetidae in Norwegian waters.
