Goera pilosa is a small to medium sized caddisfly with short, broad, yellowish brown wings.

In Norway, it is found north to Nordland. The larvae of this species inhabit streams, rivers and lakes, often with stony substrate. They construct characteristic, portable cases using sand grains with small stones incorporated laterally.
